UNIQUEDOC Limited (Uniquedoc, we, us or our) are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of information you provide in relation to third parties.

1. Scope of this Policy

This policy (together with our Mobile and WebApp End User License Agreement (EULA) and our Terms of Use) applies to your use of:

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998, UNIQUEDOC LIMITED is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office under number A1022518.

2. Data

a. Information you give us (Submitted Information):

When you register we will ask you for your title, name, email address, a self-generated PIN, and the country where you are located. Once registered you may give us further information by filling in forms on the App related to your professional background and business, and more detailed personal and contact details (all of which is voluntary), or by corresponding with us (for example, by e-mail or chat). You may provide information if you report a problem.

When you purchase the App, or if you make an in-App purchase, we will ask for your payment instrument number (e.g. credit card or PayPal), your name and billing address, and the security code associated with your payment instrument (e.g. the CSV or CVV).

You consent to the processing of the above information by us and our agents in order to facilitate your use of the App and the Services, as contemplated by our Terms or Use.

When using the Services you may choose to submit, transmit, access and/or download onto your Device information about third parties, and in particular health related information about patients. It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when communicating, uploading, accessing and/or downloading such data. For health related information, you must remove all personally identifying details before communicating or uploading such information. If you fail to do so, you must obtain all required consents from third parties under applicable privacy and data protection law before submitting or transmitting it using the Services. Uniquedoc is not responsible for compliance with any laws or regulations applying to you or your business, profession or industry unless these are also generally applicable to information technology service providers.

b. Information we collect about you and your Device

Each time you use the App we may automatically collect the following information:

We may also use GPS technology to determine your current location (Location Information). Some of our location-enabled Services require your personal data for the feature to work. If you wish to use the particular feature, you will be asked to consent to your data being used for this purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unselecting the tick-box in your privacy settings.

d. Information we receive from other sources (Third Party Information)

We work with business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, analytics providers, search information providers and credit reference agencies and may receive information about you from them. 
If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

e. Unique application numbers

When you install or uninstall an App containing a unique application number or when the App searches for automatic updates, that number and information about your installation (e.g. the type of operating system) may be sent to us.

We use cookies to distinguish you from other users of the App. This helps us to provide you with a good experience and also allows us to improve the Services. 4. Uses Made of the Information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

We may associate any category of information with any other category of information and will treat the combined information as personal data in accordance with this policy for as long as it is combined.

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to third party advertisers but we may provide them with anonymous aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose some or all of the data we collect from you when you download or use the App to the following third parties:

6. Where We Store Your Personal Data

The data we collect from you will be stored within the United Kingdom and will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure, password and firewall-protected, encrypted servers. All electronic transactions (including any payment transactions carried out by us or our chosen third-party provider of payment processing services) will be protected by 2-way AES-256 encryption technology. We ask you not to share a password or PIN with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet can never be completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect personal data that you submit or transmit, we cannot guarantee the security of data submitted or transmitted using the Services; any submission or transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access. We may collect and store personal data on your Device for performance optimization purposes using application data caches in encrypted data containers and temporary browser web storage (including HTML5) and other technology.

Certain Services include social networking, chat room or forum features. Ensure when using these features that you do not submit any personal data that you do not want to be seen, collected or used by other users. The chat room facility provides the option to communicate without any information you submit being saved or stored.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. The App may from time to time contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates (including, but not limited to, websites on which the App or the Services are advertised). If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites and any services that may be accessible through them have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or for any personal data that may be collected through these websites or services, such as contact and location data. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites or use these services.

8. Changes To Privacy Policy

Any changes we may make to this policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail or when you next start the App. The new terms may be displayed on-screen and you may be required to read and accept them to continue your use of the App or the Services.
